When I was about 3 or 4 years old, my aunt asked me what I wanted to do when I grew up.
I answered; "Oh that's easy, I'm going to have a hundred babies."
When my aunt then said that it sounded like a lot of hard work, I replied, "Oh no it won't be." "I'll have half down one side and half down the other."
I would now like to say that my ambition is still the same; however, my techniques have slightly changed and my work is getting me closer to my aim!
My 4 grown up children are doing very well and I now have 6 Grandchildren. 3 boys and 3 girls. The eldest being a boy and then his sister; then a girl followed after 8 months with triplets! Yes, a hard act to follow with lots of hard work, laughter and joy.
My methods for looking after a newborn are both practical and kind. I try to listen to the baby and fall in with his/her rhythm, rather than forcing them.
Getting baby into a schedule is the aim, but in a kind way which will be of less distress to both mum and baby.
